Simply Sketched Fun

I made this card for dear friend who has been under the weather.  I used the bright color Calypso Coral in attempt to "brighten" her day.  I used a blender pen to give it a water color look.  I also used my Simply Scored to add some score lines around the Whisper White card front.  Can you guess what other AMAZING tool I used?  Yep, you guessed it, the Envelope Punch Board.  I made my very first envelope to send with this card.  I used Soft Sky card stock for a softer appearance.  I also stamped the flower image from Simply Sketched again on the front of the envelope.  Stay tuned for more fun ideas using the Envelope Punch Board

A Slushy Thank You

I guess I have been in a thankful sort of mood lately, lots of Thank You cards everywhere.  That is what fall reminds me of, being thankful for the beautiful seasons we are so fortunate enough to experience.  The beauty in the trees right now is just amazing.  I hope you find beauty in this card.  I am really enjoying the new In Color - Strawberry Slush.  I am also addicted to the background stamp En Francais.  I hope you like like the card!!!

A Thousand Thanks.....

I made these cards for a very special event that was held in memory of my dear friend Amy.  These cards were not the ones that were chosen to be sent to the donors/sponsors of these events, I will post the card that made the final cut later :)
A stamp set for all occasions is definitely Lovely as a Tree.  I am also crazy about Autumn Accents for this time of year.  I used Perfect Plum several years ago on a Christmas card and everyone loved it, it truly helped me to see the versatility in the color.  I hope your day is filled with stampin...I'm on my way to my studio!!

Gifts of Kindess

The new Gifts of Kindness stamp set has really been a go to for me lately.  This is another card that was featured at a more recent card buffet.  I love the brightness of Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango together.  I used a sponge dauber to color the stamp.  I like how soft makes the edges when you do that.  I can see this being a stamp set I keep for a very long time!!!

Flower Shop Fun

Not only am I enjoying playing with the new stamp set Flower Shop and coordinating punch, but I love using them with some of our new colors!  I love how great the Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay, and Calypso Coral go together.  This was the first time I used the Flower Shop and Oh Hello stamp set, so I am pretty pleased.  I hope your day has some stampin' in it!!

Shabby Cycle

I have to say this is one of my most favorite cards that I have made in a while.  I love the layers of this card along with the little details.  This card was featured at one of my more recent Card Buffets and I believe there were none left over.  I would like to see how this card would turn out in Midnight Muse or Night of Navy, I bet that would be gorgeous as well.  Have a great day

Fall Ensemble

I have to give a big Thank You to Kat for taking this picture for me.  I think she did such a good job on the layout and lighting I should hire her to take all my pics. I have commented several times that picture taking is not my forte.  I think everyone had an enjoyable evening created these three projects with the Wonderfall Stamp Set and Sweater Weather DSP.  I hope to begin to offer classes similar to this more often because they are quite enjoyable and versatile.

Bubby Helps Stamp

Here is my most favorite picture on my blog - my very own Steele aka Bubby.  Steele wanted to help the girls finish up their fall frame ensemble class because they were keeping him up late...LOL
Both of my dogs like to help stamp, or maybe, they just like to help bum snacks from all my stampin' friends.  Either way, they are never too far away.  I will post a picture of our finished projects tomorrow.

A Wonderfall Thank You

This Thank You card will be featured in my next card buffet - All Thank You's.  I used Clear Block E to stamp Pistachio Pudding on the front of this card. Always make sure you have some extra padding under you stamping surface when you stamp with clear blocks.  I then used Calypso Coral for the the leaf (from Wonderfall) and the Sentiment is from Lots of Thanks.  I finished off the card with a piece of Whisper White Organza Ribbon.  I hope everyone likes it!

The Bright Side of Clock Works

This is a card I made for a recent All Occasion Card Buffet - please forgive the sentiment, we must have "bumped" the card with a baby wipe during all of our stampin' fun!!  I really like the versatility of this set.  I have used it for masculine cards and then I paired it with some bright colors like Tangerine Tango and Bermuda Bay.  Some of my stampers were so good they did not even need to use the Stamp a ma jig to make the clock face, how awesome is that???

I'm Back

Once again, my blog has suffered when my life got a little busy.  You can't say that you are surprised right???
I made this card for a very dear friend who had surgery a few weeks ago.  I have to say I am in love with this Hostess Set - Simply Sketched.  It is so simple yet so elegant.  I used my friends current favorite color - Strawberry Slush with Garden Green.  I really like the soft effect of the Mosaic Madness embossing folder on the Whisper White background.  Do you see the "hand stitching" I added to the Garden Green??? Hope your day is filled with stampin'

Did you Stampalooza????

A few of the awesome SU demonstrators in our town and Me got together in June for our first ever Stampalooza.  I think all would agree, demonstrators and guests, it was an incredible day.  We had a great turn-out for our first event and we are soooo looking forward to our next event.  We spotlighted new stamp sets from the Annual IB&C, my card used the stamp set Gentle Kindness.  As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew I had to create something with that set.  I used bright colors - Bermuda Bay (one of my returning fav's), Tangerine Tango, and So Saffron.  We used a technique with the sponge daubers to add depth to the flowers.  I hope you like the card and if you are local to the Hagerstown area, I hope you will consider attending our next event - in October!!!!!

Stampin' in my New Studio

I am so excited to finally be stampin' in my new studio......it is awesome.  Walking into my bright and cheery room makes me want to get creative.  The only problem I have is leaving my room  :)

Here is one card I created once I was able to put my hands on everything I needed. I tried my hand at the sunburst technique.  Pretty easy to do with our awesome DSP.  I used Gingham Garden on this card.  I just cut strips of DSP and texturized cardstock 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" and then cut on the diagonal.  I put the "bottom" part of the sunburst at the top of my card for something different.  As you can see I used the patterns that were Pear Pizazz.  I also created this same type of card with Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight being the dominant colors, it turned out very pretty too.  I will post that card later.
Happy Stampin!

Still Working Hard

As you can see, I am almost there.  As of Saturday evening I was able to walk in my craft room.  I have about 90% of everything put away and I have begun getting my thoughts together for my upcoming Club gathering on Thursday.  I am enjoying my stampin' studio, I hope you like it.  Hopefully I will have some new flooring in the next few weeks or months.

Almost there...

I am sorry I do not have any pictures on the progress of my stampin' studio but the painting is almost done, just a few touch ups left to do and we have moved the cabinets into the room.  We need to get some brackets to hold the cabinets and counter top together until I decide on my flooring.  I have not figured out what I want yet and there are too many other projects that need to be completed before I can get the floor.  So, for now, it is a Redskin's room - yellow walls and burgundy carpet, which for a die-hard Redskins fan, is just fine.  I can't say it matches, but at least it has meaning!!!

I will post pictures over the weekend to share with you.

An Oldie but A Goodie

I mentioned earlier we just moved in early July.  I have not stamped or created in any fashion since the Stampalooza I participated in at the end of June.  I was able to tear open a few boxes this past weekend and find some of my essentials and favorites to create these cards.  It is a very simple card used in several different ways.  Since being out of stampin' commission I had two friends who had surgery in addition to a ton of thank you cards to send.  I have such great friends who helped us move, we could not have done it without them.  I hope you like these easy peasy Melon Mambo and Island Indigo cards.

We've Moved!!!

It has been a long, long, long, month but we have finally found ourselves settled (almost) in our new home.  We are still busy at work unpacking and organizing but it feels great to finally be here.  Our neighborhood is just awesome, very quiet and peaceful.  We only thought such quiet evenings could exist in fairy-tales.

After finally get the necessities put away I have moved on to what I consider the biggest necessity and that is my craft room.  It took me a while of debating but I finally chose a color and it is.....drum roll please.....So Saffron.  I debated between this and my long time favorite Baha Breeze.  My craft room in my old house is Baha Breeze so I thought I would go with something "new" in my new house  :)

Here are a few pics of the room prior to getting the color on the wall and a few pics of the room as it progresses.  As you can see we are working around all of my supplies, which are still in boxes.

I will be posting a quick pic tomorrow of my first "batch" of cards I created in the new place.  I used a favorite quick and easy layout, I am sure you have seen me use before.

Happy Stampin!!!!

Happy Graduation

We had one family member graduate from high school this year and this is the card I made for him.  I CASED the layout from another SU demonstrator, as soon as I can find where I saved her name, I will post here.  The graduates school colors were yellow and navy.  I used the now retired stamp sets Word Play and Circle Circus, both of which I am keeping in my personal stash!  You are not able to tell from the picture but this is a sort of "fancy folds" card as the middle section opens up to reveal the sentiment.
Happy Stampin and don't forget the Inky Fingers Club Summer Session.  I will be posting some sneak peeks of my stampin area so you can get a little glimpse of the stamps and colors I will be featuring in my designs!!
Have a blessed day

Wildflowers In Colors

This was the very first card I made with the new Wildflower Meadow stamp set, is that a mouthful or what?  I used the In Color Pistachio Pudding and some of my favorite Tangerine Tango for the flowers.  I love the itty bitty punch pack for the little bit of something special it allows you to add to your projects.  Don't forget to check out the Inky Flowers Club which starts in a few weeks.  It is going to be amazing.  Some of the best Stampin' Up! demonstrators, and then me, are going to be part of it, you don't want to miss it!!!
Have a great day!!

Mosaic Madness

I had fun last weekend playing with my pre order of stampin up products from the new catalog.  Yep,the new catalog - it went LIVE on June 1st. I really like this stamp set and it's versatility.  I made this card for a friend who has been under the weather, its simple but still has some pizazz!  Hope your day is filled with stampin, mine will be shopping with my dear sweet momma!  Mom's are the best arent' they?  Well, I KNOW mine is...love her so much!
P.S. I know the Curly Cute stamp set is retired, but I love how the sentiments stretch across the entire page...I will really miss being able to demonstrate with this set, but I will still use it for me!!
Have a great day.

Moving Forward Easel Style

This is another card we made in my most recent Easel Card Fun class.  It was a great evening with some brand new stampers, which is always a lot of fun.  I love this card for its bright colors and almost childlike innocence, it seemed to be a hit with my stampers as well. We used the soon to be retired stamp set Moving Forward which is a Ronald McDonald House stamp set created by Stampin' Up! For everyone of these stamp sets that are sold, $3 goes to RMHC, how awesome!!!!  My favorite part of the card is the punched circles with both the salutation and inside sentiment.  Hope you like it!!

It's a Pool Party Birthday

I made this card for my friend Kat for her birthday last week.  I used the color combo from this years Sale A Bration DSP.  I love these colors together, so glad none of them are leaving us.  Have I mentioned how much I am going to miss Baha Breeze?  It is killing me...just killing me...LOL
I am however, using a stamp set that will be retiring in 4 short days, Elements of Style.  I really like that set for it's shabby chic feel.  Well, it is a rainy, dreary day here in Maryland so off to my craft room I go.  I have a few more thank you cards to make for a friend as well as a farewell gift for a friend who will no longer be working with me.
Hope your day is filled with stampin!!

Betsy's Blossoms Easel Card

I find it very difficult to take good pictures of easel cards...who am I kidding, I find it difficult to take good pics of any cards.....LOL
This card we made last night at my Easel Card Fun class.  I think everyone liked it for the bright colors and the combination of these colors together.  I was able to share the color coach with everyone so they can see how they can get a little help with color combos when they are in a rut.  I had two new stampers last night as well, that is always fun!!!  I hope you are having a safe Memorial Day Weekend.  Stay tuned for some exciting news about my newest stampin' adventure!!

Sorry, Postage Due

I love the stamp set Postage Due, it has quickly become one of my go to stamp sets.  This card was designed for a recent card buffet.  We used it with the Everything Eleanor stamp set and the So Sorry stamp set.  I like how versatile the So Sorry stamp set is, it contains everything from the loss of a pet to being sorry for something you might have said wrong.  I hope you are not so sorry you stopped by today.  Happy Stampin!

Top Note Die Business Card Holder

I can't take credit for the idea, saw it somewhere on SC - so thanks so much to the creative demonstrator that came up with this idea.  I did manage to do my own color scheme etc, so I should get some credit for that...LOL.  I love being able to take a simple piece of cardstock and turn it into something  that has a purpose; whether it's a card, scrapbook page, or something awesome like this.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is filled with stampin'. I am off to make some thank you cards for recent on-line orders as well as some get well soon cards.
Good stampin news is coming....

1st Commissioned Work

I was asked to do my first piece of commissioned work earlier this month.  I made these table thank you notes as well as matching invites to a little girls 1st birthday party.  The little girls favorite colors are pink, yellow, and purple, I sure hope they like how they turned out.  I hope this opens a door for me to have the opportunity to do more projects like this. If I could live in my craft room full time, I would be happy forever :).  Happy Stampin' today!!

Regional Swap

Taking a straight picture eludes me, can you tell.  I am no photographer that is for sure!  Here is one of the three different swaps I made for Baltimore Regionals back in April.  I had a great time with my sidelines and upline, for many of them it was their first Stampin' Up! event.  I will surely miss the shabby chic look of this set, so thankful we did not loose En Francis, it is a favorite background stamp of mine.  Also extremely thankful Crumb Cake did not get left behind too, another go to for me lately.
Hoping you have a great weekend with some stampin' time thrown in!  Once I get my mulching done, I will be in the craft room.  I have some exciting stampin' news to share with you very soon!!!
Happy Stampin'

In celebration of the dearly departing stamp set Circle Circus :( I used this set at my last card buffet.  I will truly miss this set because it is one of my favorite go-to masculine stamp sets.  As you can see I am using more masculine colors on this card for it's bon voyage as well.  Circle Circus you will be missed.

I met Stampin' Royalty!!!

I was super lucky enough to meet Shelli a few weeks ago at a Baltimore Regional Convention.  I was lucky because this was only the second opportunity I had to get my picture taken with her and I was able to do so.  My downline had waited many years for the same opportunity and thank goodness she was able to meet her too!!!!  It was a great day full of stampin' fun and some awesome sneak peeks.

Still Sale A Brating.....

I made this card at my hubby's request.  He asked for two masculine and two feminine cards about two weeks ago.  Unfortunately, this one is still laying on the desk beside me as I type this post.  I had an awesome time with both of these stamp sets during Sale A Bration and in the background is an old favorite - French Foliage.  I am getting more and more nervous as April 24th draws near.  I hope I don't loose too many of my favorite stamp sets.  I am still in shock that Certainly Celery is retiring, are you???

Postage Due

Dear Blog, once again I have neglected you, for that I am so very sorry, but I have an excuse....I had to prepare swaps for Regionals  :)  This is a swap that ended up on the cutting room floor, no not really, it just did not make the cut.  It will be used though, someone will get this card one day.  I love to make cards with no sentiment, that way I can come back later on and just choose one from my stash, add a sentiment and away it goes to some lucky recipient.  This card uses Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Island Indigo.  I was trying to use up my Island Indigo ribbon until I learned this awesome color was not retiring after all, YIPPPEEE.  Hope you get some stampin' in today

Primrose Petals Thank You

I made this card for my hubby to send to some sweet friends of ours.  I CASED this card from a SWAP I received from Convention last summer.  I changed up the EF I used as well as the sentiment but otherwise the layout is basically the same.  This set is so Versatile, I love it

Simply Thanks

A simple card with a simple statement - Thanks.  I made these for my stampin' friends that placed an online order during SAB.  I plan on using this simple layout in my next buffet, with a different sentiment, though, since this one is now retired.  I love how much pizazz a simple butterfly and rhinestone can add to a card.  I hope you are able to squeeze some stampin' in today.  I hope to this evening.  I have swaps to work on for Convention as well as a Stamp Club to prepare for...love my stampin' time!!!

Mixed Bunch Prayers

I recently made this card for a friend who has not been feeling well, I hope it brings a smile to her face.  I enjoyed using my FREE stamp sets and ribbon and DSP from SAB to make this card. The color combination of Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party will continue to be a new favorite for me.
I can't wait to see what SU has in store for us in the new catalog....only 60 + days until it debuts :)

Stationery Box

Here is an awesome stationery box I made over a year ago.  I updated the dsp and cards with some current product and I have another class I can offer anytime.  Without my LNS Treasure Hunt clue Sticky Strip, this box would not have stayed together for a week much less this past year.  I hope you get some time to stamp today - that is where I am headed right now!!!!!
