A Wonderfall Thank You

This Thank You card will be featured in my next card buffet - All Thank You's.  I used Clear Block E to stamp Pistachio Pudding on the front of this card. Always make sure you have some extra padding under you stamping surface when you stamp with clear blocks.  I then used Calypso Coral for the the leaf (from Wonderfall) and the Sentiment is from Lots of Thanks.  I finished off the card with a piece of Whisper White Organza Ribbon.  I hope everyone likes it!

The Bright Side of Clock Works

This is a card I made for a recent All Occasion Card Buffet - please forgive the sentiment, we must have "bumped" the card with a baby wipe during all of our stampin' fun!!  I really like the versatility of this set.  I have used it for masculine cards and then I paired it with some bright colors like Tangerine Tango and Bermuda Bay.  Some of my stampers were so good they did not even need to use the Stamp a ma jig to make the clock face, how awesome is that???

I'm Back

Once again, my blog has suffered when my life got a little busy.  You can't say that you are surprised right???
I made this card for a very dear friend who had surgery a few weeks ago.  I have to say I am in love with this Hostess Set - Simply Sketched.  It is so simple yet so elegant.  I used my friends current favorite color - Strawberry Slush with Garden Green.  I really like the soft effect of the Mosaic Madness embossing folder on the Whisper White background.  Do you see the "hand stitching" I added to the Garden Green??? Hope your day is filled with stampin'

Did you Stampalooza????

A few of the awesome SU demonstrators in our town and Me got together in June for our first ever Stampalooza.  I think all would agree, demonstrators and guests, it was an incredible day.  We had a great turn-out for our first event and we are soooo looking forward to our next event.  We spotlighted new stamp sets from the Annual IB&C, my card used the stamp set Gentle Kindness.  As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew I had to create something with that set.  I used bright colors - Bermuda Bay (one of my returning fav's), Tangerine Tango, and So Saffron.  We used a technique with the sponge daubers to add depth to the flowers.  I hope you like the card and if you are local to the Hagerstown area, I hope you will consider attending our next event - in October!!!!!

Stampin' in my New Studio

I am so excited to finally be stampin' in my new studio......it is awesome.  Walking into my bright and cheery room makes me want to get creative.  The only problem I have is leaving my room  :)

Here is one card I created once I was able to put my hands on everything I needed. I tried my hand at the sunburst technique.  Pretty easy to do with our awesome DSP.  I used Gingham Garden on this card.  I just cut strips of DSP and texturized cardstock 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" and then cut on the diagonal.  I put the "bottom" part of the sunburst at the top of my card for something different.  As you can see I used the patterns that were Pear Pizazz.  I also created this same type of card with Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight being the dominant colors, it turned out very pretty too.  I will post that card later.

Still Working Hard

As you can see, I am almost there.  As of Saturday evening I was able to walk in my craft room.  I have about 90% of everything put away and I have begun getting my thoughts together for my upcoming Club gathering on Thursday.  I am enjoying my stampin' studio, I hope you like it.  Hopefully I will have some new flooring in the next few weeks or months.

Almost there...

I am sorry I do not have any pictures on the progress of my stampin' studio but the painting is almost done, just a few touch ups left to do and we have moved the cabinets into the room.  We need to get some brackets to hold the cabinets and counter top together until I decide on my flooring.  I have not figured out what I want yet and there are too many other projects that need to be completed before I can get the floor.  So, for now, it is a Redskin's room - yellow walls and burgundy carpet, which for a die-hard Redskins fan, is just fine.  I can't say it matches, but at least it has meaning!!!

I will post pictures over the weekend to share with you.
