Butterfly Fun

The butterflies have landed.  Boy am I glad I did not have to wait very long to get these thinlits when they were on back order a few months ago.  I LOVE this stamp set - Butterfly Basics and of course, the coordinating Butterfly Thinlits.  I used the new In Color Tip Top Taupe for the base as well as the stamped images on the card front (other than the stripe, which is one of the 2014 - 2016 In Colors - Blackberry Bliss. If you don't have this stamp set and coordinating thinlits, I say get 'em now...you wont regret it.  You can shop anytime at my online STORE

Stampin' Up! and the RMHC

This is by far the BEST RHMC (Ronald McDonald House Charities) stamp set that Stampin' Up! has offered in a LONG time.  It is called Sprinkles of Life.  The best part???? There is a coordinating punch as well. WooooHoooo. I do not think you can tell but we used the 2 Way Glue Pen to adhere some Dazzlin' Diamonds Stampin' Glitter to the scoops of ice cream. Did you notice the new In Colors too?  We used Mint Macroon for the background as well as Watermelon Wonder on one of the scoops of ice cream. Whatever you do today, make sure it involves a little stampin'.

Technique Tuesday

Have you tried any new techniques lately?  I saw this technique a few weeks ago on a fellow demonstrators website and I thought it would be fun to give it a try.  Want to know how we got those stripes on the front of the card?  Well, they are stamped in case you were thinking something else.  We wrapped a clear block with rubber bands and then inked the block up with Sahara Sand and stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I am going to try wrapping the block with rubber bands in both directions (vertically and horizontally) and then stamp with different colors to look like plaid.  I'll post a pic when I get to make one this way.  Other items used on this card is the Butterfly Basic stamp set and coordinating Butterflies thinlits.  We used the new In-Colors Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I would love to hear what you think of this card.

Serene Sympathy

I recently had the need for a sympathy card for a co-worker/friend.  It is never a good thing when you need one of these cards but I had a great inspiration from my downline Morgan.  She recently made a card like this with her club and as soon as I saw it I knew I needed to CASE it.  So, I did!  I like the way it turned out and my friend really liked it, so that was all that mattered.  I used the stamp set Serene Silhouette's along with the sentiment from Thoughts & Prayers stamp set.  I used the colors Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy, and Basic Black.  You can check out these stamp sets or any Stampin' Up! product by visiting my website HERE.  Hope your day is filled with stampin!

Kinda Eclectic Birthday

I had an awesome time earlier this week with my Upline and sideline's at our monthly gathering.  We made a beautiful card with the Hello You thinlits but we only used the "negative" part of the happy.  So, I had a "happy" that needed to go on a card ASAP.  I combined the Kinda Eclectic stamp set with the "birthday" from the stamp set Butterfly Basics to make this cute birthday card.  The balloons were stamped with Images from the Work of Art and Kinda Eclectic stamp sets.  I stamped the images and then punched them out with the 1 3/8" circle punch.  The "knot" on the balloon was made with the owl punch.  I really had fun creating this card.  I hope you enjoy it.

A Little Busy

Hello my faithful followers.  My apologies for not doing a better job keeping you up-to-date on all of the great things happening at Stampin' Up!  I recently started a new job and well quite frankly, I have been a little tuckered when I get home at night.  I had a Farewell Buffet on Friday evening to say good-bye to some of my favorite stamp sets and well, just didn't get a chance to show you the pics.

Now, it is time for new products and new ideas ----YAAAAYYY.  The new Annual Catalog went live yesterday.  Have you seen it?  It is GREAT ( in my best Tony the Tiger voice).  I did not preorder many stamp sets, but I did get a lot of the new In-Color items like stamp pads, cardstock, and ribbon.

I really hope to get some of my new creations posted ASAP...until then...happy stampin'

Out with the Old....

Ok, I have said it 100 times, I am sure, but I LOVE this Autumn Accent Die for the Big Shot.  I have to say my, fortunately for me, I think my Fall projects will still be awesome, thanks to the NEW "fall like" framelits in the new 2015 - 2016 Annual Catalog.  the framelits Apothecary Accents featured on this card is also retiring at the end of the month.

While I am always sad to see my favorites leave, I am always excited to see how Stampin' Up! keeps their product lines fresh and modern.  If you would like to shop for any of your favorite stamp sets or other products, click HERE.  Don't forget to make something handmade today!!

Mosaic Madness Farewell

Oh, another favorite of mine is leaving us....*snif* *snif*.  Although I am sad about saying good-bye to Mosaic Madness, I am excited to get my hands on the new 2015 - 2015 Annual Catalog.  have you seen it yet?  Oh WOW, is my wallet in trouble!!!  Remember, the Modern Mosaic Embossing folder used here is NOT retiring.  I hope your day is filled with stampin' happiness!!!!

Retiring Favorites

I have to say I am pretty sad to see the stamp set Postage Due retire at the end of the month.  I have created a lot of "WOW" cards with this stamp set.  This card is more of a vintage style, something I do not normally gravitate to, but I am glad I did on this card.  I hope you get all of the stamp sets you LOVE before they are GONE.  Click Here to shop for Postage Due and any of your other favorites!!

Soft Spring Beauty

Who doesn't LOVE this set called Sheltering Tree?  I believe all of us "hard core" Stampin' Up! stampers have been waiting, patiently I might add, for something half as awesome as the retired Set Branch Out.  I do believe our expectations have been met with this set.  It is definitely a fav of mine and I am soooooooo glad it is in the 2015 - 2016 Annual Catalog.
Did you know you can color your ribbon with Stampin' Write Markers or Stamp Pads to have any color ribbon you like?  That is what I did here!  I needed some Pink Pirouette ribbon so I colored it with my Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write Marker and  tada!!!  I love it.  I hope your day is filled with some sort of stampin' or creativity!!!

Mother's Day Fun

We made these cute gifts at a recent Mother's Day Class.  The tea box (back left) was CASED from Lyssa Zwoaneks website, click HERE to see the details.  The tea cup in the front was inspired by THIS Pinterest Pin.  Believe it or not...the berry basket on the back right hand side, well, that was actually designed by me :)
We used the soon to be retired Designer Series Paper Painted Blooms.  This class was a lot of fun and thanks to so many talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators, it was easy to put together.  I hope you had a fabulous Mother's Day.

Celebrate Today Technique Fun

I am sooooo glad this stamp set Celebrate Today and the coordinating framelits carried over to the Annual catalog.  Ooops, did I let the cat out of the bag?  Well, it did! The background on this card was made by using the shaving cream technique.  If you have never done this fun technique with Stampin' Up! reinkers, you need to try it NOW.  It is amazing how differently every card project turns out.  The colors we used were Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy.  I hope you enjoy this card, and enjoy the beautiful weather we are expecting along the East Coast.  Click HERE to check out my Stampin' Up! website to buy the items you need to make this awesome card :)

The Butterflies Have Landed

Unfortunately, this picture does not do this card any justice at all :(  I stamped in White StazOn ink with the Butterfly Basics stamp set on a piece of window sheet.  I am sooo excited this stamp set is available again.  I have a hunch it might be in the new annual catalog coming out in June, a girl can hope, right?  The cardstock directly behind the window sheet is Lost Lagoon, the cardbase is Pool Party. I hope you enjoy this card and it inspires you to get in your craft room(area) today and stamp. Blessings....

Balloons for your Birthday

This set is so much fun.  This is only one creation out of many I have made featuring the stamp set Balloon Bash.  I really enjoyed using some primary colors like Daffodil Delight, Real Red, and Night of Navy to showcase this set.  The picture does not really show how I cut out and "popped up" the "HB" in the center of the card, it really adds a lot in real life.  I surely hope you get to spend some time stampin' today.

World of Dreams

The more I use this set the more I hope and pray it does not retire on May 31!!!!  I am thankful we will not be saying good-bye to Hello Honey or Mossy Meadow for another year.  I used the Deco Labels framelits to spotlight the bird nest.  You could certainly use the Labels Collection framelits that are part of the weekly special.  Today is the day to quit procrastinating and get your taxes done!!  Taxes THEN stampin' for today.

Butterfly Basics - I miss you!!

I personally am in LOVE with this stamp set - Butterfly Basics, and so are all my stampin’ friends.  That’s what makes me so sad.  Soooo many of my friends missed out on this stamp set and now have to wait until it comes back in stock with Stampin’ Up!.  The good news is I hear it will be very SOON!!!!

The color combination on this card is something I am really loving right now as well – Pink Piroquette, Old Olive and Melon Mambo.  I have always been a big fan of the Hardwood background stamp and I use it whenever I can!  I used Stampin' Write markers and Blender Pen to add some dimension to the flowers.  I like the weathered look of how the ribbon is laying on the bottom of the card as well.   If you want to check out what Stampin' Up! is all about, click HERE

I surely hope you get to stamp today!!

    World of Dreams Watercolored

The more I look at this card the more I really like it.  This card was featured at a recent Technique class I offered.  It has such a WOW effect but is so very simple to create.  Have you ever stamped with your Clear blocks?  It is a great way to add a different effect to your cards.  On this card we colored with Stampin' Write Makers onto the clear block and then spritzed the block with water before "stamping" the block to the paper.  It is best if you use your paper piercing mat as a nice firm surface prior to stamping with the block.  Give this easy technique a try today and send me a pic, I'd love to see your creations.  Happy Stampin'!!!!!

    Lotus Blossom Sympathy

We made this card at a recent All Occasion card buffet.  I really like the "triple" stamping involved with creating the lotus blossom image. This great stamp set paired with a favorite color of mine, Blackberry Bliss and you can't go wrong.  There is only one more day left to get this stamp set during Sale A Bration.  Click here to SHOP and get yours today!  I hope you get to stamp today.

    Thursday, March 19, 2015

We made this card at a recent card buffet.  I am lovin' Lost Lagoon more every day.  I really like it paired with Crumb Cake.  I used the stamp set Kinda Eclectic and some linen thread.  I also made this as a sympathy card using the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, it also turned out great.  This is a simple look but it makes a great statement, don't ya think?

    Afraid of Heights?

Have you ever rode in a hot air balloon?  I haven't but I *think* it is something I might like to do one day.  I made this card with the DSP Irresistibly Yours from Sale A Bration.  You can get this awesome paper for FREE with a $50 order, but only until the end of March.  Shop HERE to get yours! I used the direct to paper technique for this card.  By that I mean I applied the Soft Sky stamp pad directly to the paper and drug it across the paper.  I used the Memento Ink to stamp the hot air balloon from Celebrate Today and then gently rubbed off the excess with a tissue.  I like the pop of color from the Daffodil Delight ribbon.  I hope you get to stamp today!

    You're a Star

I broke out my Star Framelits that I have not used since Christmas for this card.  I used some of the 2014-2016 In Color DSP as well the matching Cardstock.  Colors are Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss.  The Happy Birthday is from Celebrate Today stamp set.  Of course the smallest stars are punched out of our awesome glitter paper.  This card was super simple and a great way to use up some scraps of paper.  Have a great weekend and for goodness sakes, make time to stamp something for someone.  If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, head on over to my online Store.

    Ballerina Girl

I made this card for my bosses granddaughter who celebrated her birthday yesterday, she turned 5 just like my niece.  I had to do a good bit of searching before I could find any punch art where I had most of the punches.  I am excited how well this turned out. I really wish I could remember where I found the idea.  I used various punches including the Word Window punch, 2 3/8 scallop circle punch,  1 3/4 circle punch, Blossom punch, Extra Large oval punch, and the Flower Flair framelits for her tiara.  I hope she enjoyed her card as much as I enjoyed making it for her.  I hope you get to stamp today!!

    Celebrate with Cake

I have always loved the combination of Pool Party and Real Red, something about it says Retro to me.  We made this card in my Stamp Club last month.  We used the DSP from Sale A Bration called Irresistibly Yours.  We used a brayer to roll on the Real Red Ink.  We used White Craft Ink with the Big Day stamp set, also yours FREE during Sale A Bration.  We cut it out with the Chalk Talk Framelits and tapped the Embossing Buddy on the finished cut out to give it a chalk board look.  You can order any of the items  used to make this card by visiting my website HERE.  I hope your day is filled with stampin'.

    Bee Happy

This card was part of a card class I offered last fall.  Right now the little Bee is making me think of flowers which makes me think of SPRING.  With the terribly cold weather we have been having in Maryland the last few weeks, I am more than ready for spring.  We used Hello Honey cardstock and the Honey Comb embossing folder, what a neat combo for this card.  Several punches were used as well as some circle framelits. He was a hit that day and he is a hit for me today as I look out my window and see snow everywhere.

    Friday, February 27, 2015

Will spring colors bring spring weather??

I guess it's worth a shot?  Right now as I type this entry for my blog we are still watching the snow fall in Maryland.  If I had to guess I would say we have at least 8 inches outside.  I shoveled it once today, can't say I am going to go back out and do anymore...it will eventually melt...right??

These cards were inspired by a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Dawn Olchefske.  I changed up the Designer Series Paper to Birthday Bash in the one with Calypso Coral, the card with Coastal Cabana has the Designer Series Paper Best Year Ever that is FREE with a $50 order from now until March 31, 2015.  You can shop HERE for all of the great products Stampin' Up! has to offer.  I hope you get to stamp today!

    Stampin' Up! Meets Doc McStuffins

I made this card for my niece that turned 5 yesterday.  She had a Doc McStuffins themed birthday party so I had to make her a Doc card to match.  She was very surprised by her card.  I enjoyed making it as well, once I got the the scoring lines figured out.  This card has inspired me to get back to creating some punch art cards, so perhaps you will see some of those in the near future.  I hope you get to stamp today.

    Sketch Challenge - Balloon Bash

This sketch challenge was issued by my upline for our next team gathering.  My first card(one on the left) did not really resemble the challenge but I was on a roll so I did not want to stop creating.  The card on the right is a little bit closer to the challenge sketch.  I love the Balloon Bash stamp set and Birthday Bash Specialty paper I got for FREE at Leadership!!!!  This is the first time I was able to play with any of my FREE goodies.  I really like the colors in this DSP which include Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, and Tangelo Twist. You can order either the stamp set or awesome designer series paper anytime by stopping by my Stampin' Up! Store.  I hope your day is filled with stampin'.

    Best Year Ever!

I have always wanted to create one of these simple cards as a way to show off DSP.  I finally did so with this months stamp club.  We made a super simple card with pieces of the Best Year Ever DSP from Sale A Bration.  Do you know how easy it is to get some of this beautiful paper?  As easy as placing a $50 order from the Annual or Occasions Catalog.  Visit my on-line store by clicking HERE.
Now, about this pretty card..in addition to the Best Year Ever DSP, I used the stamp set  - Best Day Ever.  I added a few rhinestones and there ya go!  I hope you are able to stamp a little today!!

    I'm Irresistibly Yours

This card was made with the DSP Irresistibly Yours from the Sale A Bration Catalog.  So...you know what that means??????  That's right it can be YOURS for FREE if you spend $50 from the annual or Occasion catalog.  Easy Peasy huh??
I used the stamp set Lovely as a Tree and colors Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Marina Mist(haven't touched this pad in forever) and some Soft Sky.
I started off my stampin' the image from Lovely as a Tree in Mossy Meadow and then i did some sponging with the colors mentioned above.  Don't forget to wipe off the excess ink from your DSP as it makes the background really "pop".  The sentiment I added is from the stamp set Moon Lake, I cut it out using the Chalk Talk framelit dies.
    Happy Stampin'

    Is it Spring Yet?

Here is my tribute to spring thanks to this years DSP from the Sale A Bration catalog.  I used the 1" square punch to punch out pieces of the Best Year Ever DSP.  I used the sentiment Trust God from the Stamp set God is Love.  My card base is Crushed Curry and if you look really close you can tell I need to change the blade on my Stampin' Trimmer. So guess what?  I am off to do that right now before I forget.  Happy Stampin'.

    Valentine's Day idea

Here is a super simple idea for a Valentine's day card.  It is actually the card I gave to my hubby so I couldn't post it before he actually got it :)
I used some burlap which is super popular right now!!  I also used the Sweetheart punch and the "You're Sweet" is from the stamp set Sweet Stuff.  I love super simple cards that make an impression.

    Welcome Back to Me!!

Well Hi everyone!  Kinda embarrassed to be posting, I mean it has only been over a year since I updated my blog. I just got back from Leadership and I am pumped to put my all into by SU! business.  I have to remember, that I still work a full time job so posting every day is too much for me.  I have a goal of posting three times per week - that is the goal. I want to say thanks to all of the people who have checked out my blog in my absence and say, don't give up on me, I am going to give this a "go" again.  Maybe you can leave me a comment or two for motivation?  Who can't use a little motivation once in a while?  :)
I hope your day has been a great one and stay tuned.......
